Ages ago, for my niece I decided I’d do a little bag for her to carry on the day of her First Holy Communion. Her not being in Ireland means that day is rapidly approaching and apart from one minor glitch on the available length of ribbon side, the bag is now finished. It’s very cute, I think.
I like making things with a hook. Today I finished it off while watching Breakfast at Tiffanys. I have never seen that movie and yet if you mention Audrey Hepburn, it seems to be the classic Hepburn movie. I have problems with this. For me, the ultimate Hepburn movie is unquestionably Roman Holiday. It’s a lovely, lovely movie and what’s more, you can actually like Princess Anne.
Holly Golightly is ever so much like a money grabbing little cow for most of the film. Almost all of it, frankly. Why anyone would want her is something I can’t quite get my head around. Men are difficult to understand sometimes. I’ve been told selfish cow=hot.
I don’t get it.
Anyway, by the time the film ended, she had started knitting (ha, if you’ll believe that…) which is strangely in contrast to the party she has early in the film.
Anyway, it’s now 10pm so I’m off to watch something more edifying if I can find it. Not quite in the mood for Corpse Bride. I may put on the Pixies again. My aim is to not go to bed until 11 because my sleeping pattern is screwed up from 2 nights at work and tomorrow is work again, but at normal hours.
