I’ve been reading discussion on the forthcoming budget and all I’m getting is a loud signal about what a mess the country is and how we should do this and do that. The loudest signal I’m getting is that we still divide society into the deserving and undeserving and the division is made in economic terms.
I wonder if this is really the best way to run society. I’d welcome comments.

Ahh.. the reason why people are underserving is because they are..ermm… underserving.
Just deserts and all that.
See, I have some issues here because I don’t get to see the criteria by which some people are adjudged to be deserving and undeserving. Personally speaking, I have always worked hard, I’ve never been out of work and there are some saps whose daddies are very rich who don’t have to worry about anything much, for example. When I see discussions about the undeserving, it is not the rich heirs and heiresses who are…targeted, shall we say.
