Hi Kevin,

Yes, it is sort of sweet – can’t remember how much sugar is in it – but the overwhelming flavour is the cardamom. The recipe was from a Sophie Grigson cookbook.

My own weakness is bread. You look like you’ve got something nice there.
As regards the oven, you’d appreciate an Aga. The mindset is different but worth it.

I don’t know if I’ll manage it to be honest with you. I’m two courses into an Open University maths and statistics degree.

I may cash in all my chips and do a round the world trip” – in this depressing country that looks like a very appealing thing to do; unfortunately I’m getting a bit too old to do it without causing mayhem, but perhaps mayhem is my perception of the result of not conforming to society’s expectations.
maybe by the time you get back from the round the world trip property prices will only be a fraction of what they are now.

I have not been back to approve this over the last week or so – I am sorry for the delay.

I have been looking at Ashbourne as well. I must have 100Mb broadband however. You’re right that it’s down to compromise; I just haven’t identified what I can do without yet. I guess I will go on as normal for the moment.
